Happy Birthday to the man that tolerates my passion for yarn :)
First tidbit is that I removed the pattern on the bag on my project list (the original list). I started the filet bag and realized I had no real use for a holey bag - so decided to remove it. I finished a dishcloth during iYarny's first dishcloth Friday meetup. That was good. I did go through my numbers again and I'm a lot more confident in these percentages being close to accurate, if not actually accurate. go me. *laughs*
The big news of the week was my finishing my first ever sock. I had never knitted a sock before and after a great challenge, the first sock is done. I have already cast on the second sock and am making my way quite nicely through it. Granted, I didn't write down any information about the first sock I made (big mistake) so making the 2nd to match is going to be a challenge in itself.
My family has already asked me to make them socks too. I am pretty happy with the finished sock although I can see all the little boo-boos. But I figure they were a great learning experience and from that, I will learn and my socks will only continue to get better.
Personally, I can't wait to do socks for the kids simply because they are smaller!
I don't have much else to report other than today is the man's birthday. Yup, another year older. I really love this guy - he helps keep me in check and tolerates my little yarn addiction. I am glad he is with me - I really appreciate all that he does for me, the kids, and the household.
This is a picture of him and I last year (or the year before... hmmmm) on a hayride at a local church. I was thinner... he was younger - it all balances out in the end *laughs*

Sometimes the best thing to do is to take a project off the To Do list instead of trying to force it just because you thought you wanted to do it.
