I hate to say that nothing moved this week but its true. I did do stuff, but not exactly as much as I had thought but then again - the king size afghan I'm making as my state fair project is eating up a lot of my time. Last night I finished my second strip of squares so I thought I'd connect them to the first... it took me almost an hour! Insane - I never thought I could spend an hour slip-stitching and feeling good about it. *laughs*

But - I have to say, the afghan looks fantabulously scrumptuous (see last post about adjectives and my friend Rob if this is the first time you are reading my blog). I'm thrilled with how it looks.

I did half-heartedly calculate out how many more hours the afghan should take me. Considering I have 69 squares left and approximately 1 hour per square, 7 more strip joins to go at 1 hour each, and a border that will most likely take me 4-5 hours - I'd say I have between 80 and 85 hours left on this afghan.

Oh - and no picture again this week. Dare I say I am taunting you!

*chuckles*

Other than that, I did break out the knitting needles and whipped up a quick dress for my daughter's monster high dolls. Seems that Frankie Stein is the grand prize winner as I have not seen that doll *not* in the dress since I handed it over. The only change I'd make next time is I'd probably add in some more stitches so it would be longer. I thought, by the picture presented on the pattern, it would be longer - but the roll knitting always seems to have makes it roll up to shirt size. You can push the roll down and it'll stay, but as soon as you start playing with the doll, her bum sticks out.

Oh well - I suppose its off to go crochet more on the monster afghan. I figure I'll share a photo of it once its over halfway done. I do think its looking pretty good though.... delicious, if I do say so myself.

*smiles*

No fair this teasing about this afghan....I can't wait now to see it and thats some amount of hours left. I'm not showing Caoimhe FrankieStein's dress or I'll be having to make some for her Monster High's as well lol But me I love her dress.

Good luck with the blanket.  I know how it feels to already have done so much work and still have so much left to do.

If I had groovy harlequin leggings like those Frankie is sporting, I'd want my tops kept on the short side too. Nothing conservative about her, is there?
