Year of Projects: Week 10

Project Percentage Complete: 48%
Overall Percentage Complete: 54%

Number of Project Items: 27
Number of Added Items: 21
Total Items: 48

The big news of the week is the surprise organization shelf bought, purchased, and loaded by the man. I only had to spend about 30 minutes organizing it a wee bit more to my liking. I'm pretty impressed that he knows me enough to know how I would keep things together. Most folks go straight to color - but alas, I do not.

What the shelf has definitely done instantaneously is given me a quick visual of all the yarn I do have and what projects I have on my list are 'covered' in the sense I already have yarn or thread. Good stuff right there! All with special thanks to "the man" who never reads this blog and will never know just how awesome he really is.

Both percentages went up because I was able to finish 3 pair of the paper clip ornaments from my year of projects list, which is a good thing. I'm glad to see the project list percentage finally go up.

Another reason the percentages changed is I removed the Men's Vest from my list. I tried the vest with a couple different yarns and didn't like it. Then I tried a totally different crochet pattern - again, I didn't like it. I went and looked at some knit patterns but I know that it'll be forever to work through a knit pattern - so I'm keeping it on my personal radar but I don't know if its something I'll finish by next summer. CrochetBlogger left a few suggestions on my Wednesday blog so I'll be keeping those in mind too.

I'm a bit disappointed BUT if I start working on it, I'll add it to the 'added items' list. I hate modifying my list this way but really, I'm not sure there is anything else I can do. I definitely don't want to make a sweater I hate just because I picked the pattern for a project list, ya know?

I LOVE organise.  All of it, doing it, the feeling once completed.  Yes my hubbie diagnosed me unofficially as having OCD for organisation!!!

I completely agree about not making something just because it's on the list - that would be ridiculous, wouldn't it. I do love your updates - they are so precise!

Have a great week xxxxx

Organization is a must for us crafters.  Yours is wonderful and your lists are coming right along.

My rule is that if I wouldn't buy it I won't make it. Crafting time is far too precious for that.

My stash is bagged up by weight, then all the bags are in a bigger zipped bag.

What wonderful hubby you have, I could definitely do with a shelf like that, my yarn is filling all the surfaces of the lounge at the moment which I've heard my husband muttering about recently so I must organise myself!

Nice shelf - lucky you. I hope you have luck in finding the pattern you want.

Organising my stash is not my strong point. Realised too late that mohair and anything else doesn't mix. Now I have bright pink mohair strands on all my white and cream yarn. Yummy.

Agreed.  I think you made the right choice by dropping the vest.

I think your solution with the Men's Vest makes sense. If it's not working right now, let it go for awhile and see if you get enthused about some version of it again later. Nice to see your percentages go up - I know that makes you happy!! :)
