  1. Excellent idea!  I'll bet crochet protects the wall beautifully.

  3. Thank you. I have some ideas prattling around about how to make them textured on the back side and flat on the front side - we shall see what the thoughts yield :)

  4. Thanks. I really thought it was a simple idea considering; however, when I started looking for patterns, I couldn't find anything similar. Odd, but good, I suppose :)

Very good idea and very creative.  I'm thankful my dining area is large enough that we don't have that problem.

  12. oh I would love to see the result for a larger item. When you finish, you'll have to stop back and shoot me a URL of a picture of something.

I just finished making your Kitchen Chair Topper and your pattern is wonderful, and so easy to follow.  Thank you.  What a wonderful and easy pattern.

  17. How would you adjust this for a chair that has a rounded top? We just repainted our dining room, and (as chief painter) I'm the only one that really pays attention to protecting the walls when pushing back chairs - it's making me a little crazy!

  18.  Honestly - I wouldn't use this pattern but what I would do is make 2 half circles, adjusting for the shape where you would crochet to make the "flat" side more oblong. Stitch them together when they are done and run a cord/ribbon through it for decoration.

  19. Thank so much for this pattern, my parents dining room chairs were ruining the walls and I did not know what solution to give my mother. I just finished one and it looks great, once again thank you.

  20. Thanks for this pattern. I am going to use wired ribbon for the ties to make a bow and let the tails hang to the seat. I won't have to change chair pads for the season., just the ties.

  21. thanks for the pattern.  I plan to paint my dinning room this summer and the walls are marked by the chairs now,  this is a great way to protect my soon to be newly painted walls.

  22.  I can honestly say that other than the marks that are on the wall from BEFORE the toppers, no new marks are on the table and I'm using the original toppers. I hope they work just as good for you!

  23. Thanks for the pattern. I'm going to try extending it so that it will cover the entire back of the chair. We don't have a problem with marks on the wall but we do have a problem with sticky fingers getting food all over the chair. I HATE cleaning those rails on the back. I'd rather just take a cover off and wash it.
